COVID-19

UPDATED: SEPTEMBER 2021

The health and safety of our dancers and staff remain our highest priority. As such, we continue to monitor the everchanging landscape of COVID-19 and will continue to follow the recommendations of the CDC.

Based upon the recommendations, we are:

  • Strongly recommending that fully vaccinated teachers, staff, parents/guardians and caregivers wear a mask while in the studio when Lackawanna county’s transmission level is either substantial or high. The level will be posted on the front door and throughout the studio.

  • Strongly recommending that students, regardless of vaccination status, wear a mask while in common areas of the studio and while moving around the studio. Students may choose to wear a mask during class.

  • As always, if you are more comfortable wearing a mask, please continue to do so.

If there is an exposure at the studio, we will continue to follow CDC recommendations as

follows:

  • Fully Vaccinated with no symptoms – if there is a known exposure with suspected or confirmed COVID-19, those who are exposed are to be tested 3-5 days after exposure and to wear a mask at all times while in the studio for 14 days or until a negative test is received.

  • Fully Vaccinated/ Unvaccinated with symptoms – students will be asked to quarantine and not return to the studio until 10 days have passed and the student is fever free for 24 hours without the aid of medicine or you may return after 7 days with a negative test. The test must occur on day 5 or later.

  • Unvaccinated with no symptoms – students will be asked to quarantine and not return to the studio until 10 days without a negative test or after 7 days providing the student receives a negative test result. The test must occur on day 5 or later.

Anyone who is sick or has been in contact with someone who has COVID-19— including students, family members, teachers and staff — should not attend classes and contact the studio. Be on the lookout for symptoms of COVID-19, which include but are not limited to fever, cough, or shortness of breath.

If you have a specific question about this plan or COVID-19, please email us at scbcnutcracker@gmail.com for more information. You can also find more information about COVID-19 at www.cdc.gov.
